        "Diagnosing tsconfig.json with --showConfig tsc, the TypeScript compiler, supports a new flag called --showConfig. When running tsc --showConfig, TypeScript will calculate the effective tsconfig.json (after calculating options inherited from the extends field) " This is awesome

        In theory it could be since it's all available as an API. I've had something CLI-oriented in mind for a while.

        Can this be used to add JSDoc comments instead of TS annotations? Or maybe even add this feature to the compiler instead of as a lang service quick fix. I could see this being valuable to the vanilla JS peeps who have simple linting tools for correctness as don't want TS lang
