These huge corps. all about profit. Trouble is - when they keep cutting employees, who is going to eventually be able to afford their products???

The Brazilian Dishwater Emporium (aka Tim Hortons) hates its employees. Replacing them will allow the company to avoid future unpleasantness like that time when they tried to roll back basic worker benefits like breaks and vacation time.

Few years ago in Calgary, Tim Horton's Managers were told to ditch resumes. Franchisee could then bring Temporary Foreign Workers. They were also trained in Philippines. In Okotoks,AB Tim Horton's in 2006 was about $14.25/hr. in 2015, it was few nickels above Minimum Wage.

I personally LOVE the fact I can place my order and pay for it on an app instead of having to repeat it three times at the drive-thru speaker only to see them screw it up when I pull up. I've been handed way too many double doubles after ordering a black coffee.

I don’t know that this machine will replace to many worker. Someone still has to make the coffee and serve you. I rarely see ppl using the mobile pick up as they have to wait for the customers in the store before their order gets made. At lest that’s what I’ve seen and been told
-
That may depend on the individual location. It often appears to me that drive-thru customers get higher priority than in-store customers.
