Its all about money, forcing people to have a collection on multiple servers to be able to grind.
No tictac. a multimillion dollar company has no reason to steal our lunch money. we are the 0.001% of the playerbase its definitely not our triple server pack money that keeps the business running

That's the exact reason, the relevant playerbase doesnt care and they actually like playing through the tutorial and getting the quest rewards and or ingame goals.
I can hardly imagine there is any actual current good reason for this other than that's how it has grown, when they made new servers.
Half of the money made by in mobile games comes from about 0.15% of the player population (from a study in 2014, not sure what it is now). I'm not sure if that's the justification, but the pro playerbase is much more likely to be part of the whale group than the normal userbase
lets do math. there are at best 500 players in the whole world for who its relevant to grind multiple servers. 500x $500 for purchasing the expansion every 4 months ( im being generous here ) = $250k per quarter. Like I said “lunch money” These whales u talking about are not us
