    if that’s the punishment they get just for being Belarusian, what punishment should await Americans? let’s just pick one ongoing war where we’re playing the “logistical assistance” role. maybe make it so we can be legally killed in Ubers because of Yemen!

    Not only has left Russia and Belarus, but it’s now banned Russian and Belarusian nationals from using its service anywhere in the world.

    Look forward to holding every prominent American, Israeli and British national to this moral standard the next time their country commits war crimes which historically is about every six minutes. This should be super easy to apply consistently and not selectively

    So in addition to punishing a 20-year-old Russian pianist who has condemned the invasion of Ukraine, we're also punishing a 77-year-old musical director who was recently diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer Real normal stuff

    On a separate note it’s interesting that ostensibly straight reporters are allowed to editorialize but only on one specific topic and that’s calling for US military involvement. Anything else is seen as gauche and evidence of ideology or the dreaded “bias”

    With all the alarm about a Russian invasion of Ukraine, it's important to keep in mind that the alarm itself, and using the U.S. media to keep the alarm ringing, is part of the Biden admin's strategy to keep pressure on the Kremlin. It IS the strategy.
