Nearly a year's passed since this post. It was something I was worried about for a long time leading up to it. I imagined I didn't look or act "queer enough" to say I was nonbinary. I still worry about that sometimes, but overall my experience has been a very loving one.

I've never made any sort of "official announcement" about this before, but I figure this month is as good as any to mention that I've had some form of "they/them" in my bio for a few years now and consider myself nonbinary

I was lucky to work with Ian McGinty very early in my career, on a backup story for one of his comics. He was very kind and encouraging to me, and I remember really appreciating his thoughtful critiques on my pencils. Heart's going out to everyone who knew him today. Christ.

also the united states military is a cult that preys on the young and the poor they use the promise of free education to get kids to sign up for the most vile acts known to man. they help sell the idea by funding propaganda trash like Marvel films and Top Gun happy memorial day

Agreed. Creative execs I’ve worked with are most often coming from their own place of love for show craft and share earnest desire to make something great. It is above their pay grade where u find THE MAN oozing his foul number-filth in an Ill-begotten lair

The creative execs we work closely with are not the execs we’re on strike against. They’re honestly being treated as badly or worse than we are, overruled by bean counters and squeezed by endless mergers. It’s the execs higher up who are squeezing all of us. That has to change.

The Nib is the only place that ever actually paid me to make a comic. They probably shouldn't have because it wasn't very good. But they also paid a lot of much more talented people to talk about a lot of important things, and this is a massive loss.

After ten years of publishing, The Nib is going to close down this summer. The new issue of our magazine, the Future issue, will be our last. Read the full statement from our editor here: thenib.com/the-future-of-

yes I am a huge fan of intense amounts of blood and gore, but the KEY is you gotta be a little SILLY with it too like the main character is pregnant. what if a lil deadite fetus popped out of her and was running around? It's STUPID and that's what makes it Evil Dead
