Great take! I’m surprised I hadn’t internalized that exporting best practices to the developing word is common work for consultants. I had previously unconsciously thought of McKinsey as having clients that were almost exclusively developed world corporations.

I'd add to this the export of 'innovation consultants', something China desperately wants to improve. Big 3 (MBB) consulting firms take a very analytical, numbers approach; SV has developed playbooks for innovation - Lean Startup, Design Thinking, Agile - that are being exported.
