Eliminating prior authorizations undermine important patient protections and give providers a ‘blank check” for unneeded and even dangerous care. #txlegepic.twitter.com/K4Ylnukhjm

actually all this does is make it harder for both the patient and provider to get the medicine they need and allows insurance companies to be obstacles to patient care. but go off sis

*Prior authorizations allow us to deny medically necessary care for patients to keep our pockets lined. There, fixed it for you.

And to make it worse, the implication that dangerous care is being provided is a slap in the face to all of those who are working tirelessly and losing their lives during this pandemic.

Wrong. Completely wrong. Inside these companies, these programs are incentivized to maximize denials.

In fact, there is not way to incentivize patient wellbeing through an insurance company. Profits are incompatible with patient care.
