  2. To continue to help you identify governmental officials and institutions on Twitter, we’re expanding our policy to label these accounts in more countries. Next week, you’ll start to see new profile labels on government accounts in 16 other countries.

  9. Last call! As part of our new verification policy, we’ll remove verification badges from inactive and incomplete accounts starting tomorrow, January 22. We've reached out directly to those who need to take action to stay verified. For more info:

    In-app notification with the headline, “Keep your verification” and details below on the actions the account holder needs to take to complete their profile and maintain verified status.

    To clear up confusion about fluctuations in follower counts: In order to prevent spam, we regularly challenge accounts to confirm details like email and phone number. Until that info is confirmed, these accounts aren’t included in follower counts.

  17. Sometimes you have more in common than you think. On Android, we're testing a way to highlight things you have in common when you reply to someone you don’t follow or engage with. We may show the Topics you both follow, your mutual connections, or their profile bio.

    The app version of the reply composer. At the bottom of it, a prompt with the headline, “You have things in common” and the text, “You and Maria both follow the Topics Soccer, Dogs, and Rap. The prompt includes an X in the top right corner to dismiss it.

  19. We’ve updated Fleet notifications: when someone shares your Tweet in a Fleet, you’ll now receive a push notification –– just like when someone @ mentions you in a Fleet.
