(2/4) Our teams spent the last few days conducting an in-depth review of the videos flagged to us, and while we found language that was clearly hurtful, the videos as posted don’t violate our policies. We’ve included more info below to explain this decision:

(3/4) As an open platform, it’s crucial for us to allow everyone–from creators to journalists to late-night TV hosts–to express their opinions w/in the scope of our policies. Opinions can be deeply offensive, but if they don’t violate our policies, they’ll remain on our site.

(4/4) Even if a video remains on our site, it doesn’t mean we endorse/support that viewpoint. There are other aspects of the channel that we’re still evaluating– we’ll be in touch with any further updates.

Update on our continued review–we have suspended this channel’s monetization. We came to this decision because a pattern of egregious actions has harmed the broader community and is against our YouTube Partner Program policies. More here:https://yt.be/help/xLtT

While I don't agree w/ the decision (mostly b/c it appears it was done in response to pressure), both parties
@gaywonk and@scrowder seem utterly displeased. That is the hallmark of a good compromise. Both sides should stop the playing the victimhood game and move on.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Neither are truly victims in this because the only reason actions were or weren't taken (or considered in the first place) is because both are prominent persons. The real victims are those that are harassed w/o millions of followers to rally to their cause and bring attn to it.

Are you fucking kidding? Did you even see the compilation video put together of all the times Crowder attacked this man with homophobia and racism? And you're saying that there's no reason to punish him? You're as bad as him

1) I did. I even watched it again just now. I heard "queer", "gay", "Mexican/Latino". Is queer an epitaph now? I thought that was the Q in LBGTQ? He's a comedian. He "attacked" this man b/c of his journalistic writings, not b/c he's gay.

But it's not the words he called him, it's the intent and tone he used BEHIND them, which his sheep audience are too dumb to notice because they've never faced that discrimination against them

Yes, his audience did much worse. Those that sent him threats should be punished. Crowder didn't send anything TO maza, it was on his public forum. I didn't see crowder calling for any harassment from his followers. Again, he's a comedian. They're supposed to be provocative.

If he's a comedian, he's also supposed to be funny. Calling someone a 'fag' because they dont agree with you isn't funny, its childish, whether they are gay or not

He's a comedian regardless of whether anyone person find some funny. I don't find him funny. I think he has a personal responsibility to tell his audience not to harass him. But
@gaywonk add on that advocated for physical confrontation and throwing of Milkshakes.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like - 1 more reply
