"You will not be able to upload videos of protests after A13 is implemented." Huh?!?! Why would videos of protests be blocked? What rights would they infringe ?

The protest marches I particiapated at had little to no music. There were people talking through microphones, Not music. The concept that reports on rallyes can be surpressed by copyright claims claims is so off the deep end, it speaks against the common sense of their advocates.

Copyright does NOT apply to public events. Everyone can picture and film them. And if some music is in the background and it is insignificant to the main point of the document, then there is no copyright claim. Simple as that.

Youre not allowed to copyright a film you made of a protest?

You can copyright the recording, (if you are owner or licensee) but that only counts for the recording. Since everyone can make a recording of a public event, it is impossible to „copycensor“ rallies. You assumption is plain whacky.

what is the trust model for copyright claim? if a larger entity nefariously adds works that are not their own, what is the recourse? how fast is the correction? this has already happened on youtube. the concern of article 13 being used to censor coverage of rallies is valid.

As we can see today anyone can claim anything without being stopped. the best was when pure microphone testing ("hey guys"...."oh") was claimed by CDbaby.
