Ending the Syria crisis means ending the impunity enjoyed by those who have ordered atrocities over these past ten years. Recovery, reconstruction, and justice are totally dependent on this.

I will always look back with endless admiration on the people who gave up everything in the effort to ensure a better future for the next generations. They deserved so much better than what the world gave them. Today is ten years since the Syrian Revolution began in March 2011.

I wish I could have seen Syria free and democratic, such as what we saw in many of the liberated areas with local councils. It breaks my heart to see how fucked Syria is today I'll never forgive the Assad regime or any of their supporters, they are my ultimate enemies until I die

This event and every single moment in it will live on in history and in my memory. I saw the color return to Syria. So many Syrian songs my dad sang to me as a kid were now being remixed into songs of freedom by the protesters. Students rebelled and protested through their campus

The people in Syria taught me so much about solidarity and steadfastness. Their endless efforts to liberate themselves from crushing tyranny is inspiring to absolutely no limits. Against all odds they stood against the regime, until it wiped out their communities.

Ten years ago I was a different person than I am now. I was finishing high school in 2011 when Syrians started protesting against Bashar al-Assad. Before this I never cared for my Syrian identity, but once I saw Syrians rise up to reclaim their rights and dignity that changed.

It’s actual unbelievable. Yet Assad and his delegation are still given a place at the table to “negotiate”.

    1. The Syrian war isn’t over. 2. ISIS went underground 3. Most of them can’t return 4. Many fled for Assad’s bombs 5. They have a lot of reasons to stay 6. You ain’t one 7. You should delete your account

A Russian officer in a *Syria* base grabs President Assad & stops him from following Putin. Protocols but this is on Syrian soil while Assad is not accompanied by his aides. Regardless of where a Syrian stands re Assad, he’s visibly humiliated.
