Maybe you missed my decision this week to run again. We all have busy lives! I’m committing to 4 more years of making DC gov work for you. I’m excited to use public financing, & I need 89 donors to make the Fair Elections match! With your help, $25=$150!

So very sad to hear about the loss of Wendy Rieger. She was a talented journalist and a quality human being. She truly loved making the most of life in the District. She will be missed.

I want to wish all our neighbors who are celebrating Good Friday/Easter and/or Passover, happy holidays this weekend. And Ramadan Mubarak to those observing Ramadan this month. And Happy D.C. Emancipation Day to all.

Vintage 1940s matchbook cover from the Raven Grill, at 3125 Mt. Pleasant St NW. Opened in 1935, the Raven is among the longest-lived watering holes in DC. While it no longer serves food, it originally was as much a restaurant as a bar.

It is my recollection a D.C. task force report also came to a similar conclusion, even though this approach to addressing office vacancy is the econ development flavor of the month

Looks like the real estate developer/anti-paid-family-leave crowd who opposed me in 2018, lined up behind a candidate who got removed for ballot fraud, & then scrambled to shovel $$ to another, is funneling their developer cash to a new candidate in 2022

Mark Plotkin would have turned 75 years old today. He passed away in 2019. From a DC politics standpoint, he played sort of a Tim Russert role. His plain-spoken, heart-on-his-sleeve truth, passion, & advocacy are greatly missed. We honored him in 2017:

The Wire's Tommy Carcetti would have appreciated D.C.'s public financing program. Instead of asking for big checks, I'm asking today for $5. Yep, $5 is all I need from 46 more D.C. residents to qualify for Fair Elections. Happy to call you about it too:
