I don't believe double jeopardy would apply in an impeachment trial, but if there are lawyers, there will be a argument. I think, though, with all of the crimes tRump has and will commit double jeopardy would never be an issue. Pick a crime, any crime.

When has a mistrial resulted in an inability for a retrial in this country? I’m not a lawyer, but makes zero sense that a trial that does not complete (mistrial or a hung jury) prevents retrial.

Aside from the fact that a lot of places are dumping double jeopardy laws, the Impeachment System is "Outside" of the Legal System that contains double jeopardy. That's why you can have things like Witnesses refusing to comply with subpoenas and the Defendants dictating evidence
