Honestly, when the pandemic started, I thought the comparisons to Avengers Endgame were a little weird and dumb. Now I feel those comparisons were pretty apt in retrospect

I took it to mean the matriarch is gone, and the patriarch is grieving his partner. The empty seat is hers. Dad, is “blue” missing his partner in life. But for some, women will always be invisible.
