    Been debating talking about this publicly because I don’t want to get fired, but it seems like the cat’s already out of the bag so whatever: yesterday Hootsuite signed a three-year deal with ICE. Over 100 employees have been extremely vocal in their opposition to this deal

    This is like you've never seen it before. Colour data from the VIMS spectral instrument on are overlaid on image data, here focused on the south pole. And those stripes? That's where the subsurface ocean is blasting into space through four huge cracks.

    Congratulations to Rik Olthius who is the New Zealand national winner of the James Dyson Award. Rik designed sustainable footwear and graduated with a Bachelor of Design. The runners-up Lisa Newman and Samantha Hughes are also Massey grads!

    One of our recent graduates has once again come out on top in the annual national James Dyson awards with an innovative design for fully biodegradable running shoes. Ka pai, Rik!

    A faculty member has been asking how to stop Zoom from removing his head when he uses a virtual background. We suggested the usual plain background, good lighting etc, but it didn't work. I was in a meeting with him today when I realized why it was happening.

    pay attention Auckland Central, this country’s recovery needs to be sustainable, long term & future focussed. one of the best ways to help that happen is casting your vote for

    There’s a sizeable 20% of voters undecided in that poll, and it’s worth noting it only polled enrolled voters. Auckland Central right now has some of the lowest enrolment stats - only 39.7% of 18-24 year olds are enrolled, the lowest in the country.

    We finally have an Auckland Central poll. It confirms this is a wildcard three way race. It confirms people shouldn’t settle or compromise for anything other than the candidate they believe in. Now more than ever, the so-called “impossible” is possible; can win this.

    I love how you can have certain images/videos that may not be that eye-catching to some--because they're not the "regular pretty" view that is most commonly presented to the public, but in reality they're *mind blowing* THIS for example, is a freaking planetary system in motion.

    Time lapse of system (including seven moons) reveals retrograde motion against starry backdrop of Milky Way. Covers three hours of real time. 54 x 400 x 0.5 sec unfiltered mono in Celestron 8" + ADC at f/10.
