    . pushes back on notion that bills not passed by the Assembly on its last planned session day of the year are dead Republicans who control the Assembly have said they have no plans to return to session this year, a point Evers and Democrats have been hitting them on

    Frankly, nothing is "dead." The Wisconsin State Legislature is a full-time legislature and these folks are elected to serve until the end of the year. There are issues that I know both parties want to get to work on, so let's get to work. There's no rest for the elected.
