To heck with an annulment, America needs a divorce.
I’m tweeting this “presidency annulment” idea not because I think it has any merit — I don’t, at least under the Constitution we still have — but because @RBReich is a serious thinker whose thought experiments deserve serious discussion. So discuss away!

Annulling Trump’s presidency would garner the support of the majority of Americans WHO DID NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP.

But, Does Obama agree to take over in the interim? And does the 40% accept any of this, especially Obama? Does HRC take her rightful place? Paul Ryan?? It seems like it would be the right thing to do, but I can’t imagine his base accepting any of these outcomes.

If everything is as serious as people here say, then when after this is over MAJOR constitutional reforms will be needed. And one of these amendments should address the legitimacy of the Trump presidency specifically.
