    One of my co-workers in our working agreements session coined the phrase: "Everything boring should be automated." Now it is one of our working agreements, and something we are actively striving for everyday, to drive the boring work out, and free our heads for the fun stuff!

    ... oh jeez, and the most obvious thing of all for amassing influence: SPEAK UP. You can't have influence if nobody knows what you think or feel. You can't lead if nobody knows where you're trying to take them. So you have to be willing to fail and be wrong, in public.
