Biden was the head of the Senate Judiciary committee which means Democrats controlled the Senate. Which meant they had a chance of killing Thomas' nomination.

Thomas is not a good justice and he's been on the court since my childhood so the fact he wants to people to "move on" is fucked.

Yeah, I think people are strangely amnesiac about the fact that Biden ran horrible campaigns in both 88 and 08 that until recently were the stuff of bad campaign legend. He appears ready to top them.

Was just listening to part of Michelle O's memoir where she talks about the campaign just letting her go around the country w/minimal staff & no media training until she became "a problem." Betting that's what happened here. But staffing is not J Biden's problem.
