Hi @YouTube. I need help with this.
Months ago I released a video that features about 50 sec of @WalkingDead_AMC footage of @SonequaMG. I used that short yet amazing scene to illustrate how talented she is. Though there is no direct commentary, which is one of the conditions

for a video to be considered "fair use", it's heavily implied that the scene was used to show off her emotional abilities. Today I received two copyright claims. Two. From completely different sources. The first from a personal, user YouTube channel. 5 subscribers. No uploads.

The second from Starz Media (I'm assuming related to
@STARZ in some way). So here's my problem. Why do these two random people or organizations get to copyright claim my fair use video? And why can I only file a dispute with them directly? If anyone were to claim anything here1 reply 0 retweets 0 likesShow this thread -
it should be
@AMC_TV. At this point neither me, the "fair use" content creator, nor the actual creators have copyright claims on the video. Only some outsiders. Which, for some reason, are the only ones I can directly address in this situation.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likesShow this thread -

It could be an automated claim. Dispute it and you should get the claims retracted

It's not an automated claim. Those happen regularly upon the videos release. This is a year later... Also the only way to dispute the claim is to "dispute the claimant" and prove to them you're within your rights. But here
@AMC_TV isn't involved.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
@STARZ and some other random user are claiming the content as if it were theirs and I have to wait for their approval to keep the video up. Broken system. Unjustified claims.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like
