2019 is the year we stop writing “pure” functional or object-oriented code, and go back to getting shit done.
What do you mean by "pure" functional code? A function with no side effects whose return value is dependent only on the arguments, or something else?

In this context, I suspect that she means functional-paradigm-only, rather than sneaking in extra procedural, OO, etc.
