We did ask all managers to reach out to the impacted employees 1on1 immediately after the zoom call, so it's already happening. I've personally been in contact with many.

@travisv I watched the call happen live. It was the most bizarre Zoom call I've ever witnessed and at least appeared like a pre-recording. Regardless, the person speaking could have had the common sense to at least get the facts of the severance right. Embarrassing effort.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. And with a ONE month severance? While the majority of the world is panicking and quarantined in their houses? Do better. Hindsight is 20/20

This is exactly the problem: leadership is so out of touch. Anyone with COMMON SENSE could have told you this was a BAD idea. But common sense isn’t common - clearly.

No shit, Sherlock. If this was your business, you should have organized a calling tree for managers to call their reports. It's not hard. In fact, you should a calling plan like that set up, tested, and ready to activate for any emergency.

How could you not see this would be a bad idea? Why did you not volunteer to deliver the message? Why did Scott in his infinite hubris not deliver the message? Why did Justin no deliver the message? Where was Ryan?
