In my view, intactivists and intact men need to validate the psychological distress many men experience due to MGM. People need to validate and empathise. One should not have to have lived experience to do so.

I agree that many grassroots activists have problematic methods, which too often are offensive to others and counterproductive to the aims of the genital autonomy movement.

Radical activism is good therapy, but we don't even get have a good network of local groups/"sleeper cells" committed to radical activism. This is something we REALLY need to work on.

I think people's needs are different. As long as radical activism is respectful then I don't have a problem with it although it's not for me. But, I do think it is important that we support men who struggle psychologically with the consequences of MGM.

We actually tried to address this within my niche foreskin restoration community. Some wanted to focus on restoration but others desperately needed cut trauma support, so we created support groups, and it's been good for all of us. Has helped some find the motivation to protest

Psychology Today recognizes this difficulty. Among Intactivists, safe spaces and mutual support need to be a focus, not simply outspoken activism. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/moral-landscapes/201501/circumcision-s-psychological-damage …

Psychology today unfortunately is pretty mixed in it's views
@brownburr42. I've had articles from that same body pushed on me in favor of circumcision:https://twitter.com/alijayne_mcnabb/status/1046427523008122883 … -
... Wow, you've done excellent research with your rejoinders from that thread though!

You should check out Season 3, Episode 2 of Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History podcast, “Burden of Proof”. Right in line with what you’re saying.
