    Every trans murder enrages me. And the fact that they take place in a permissive cultural environment makes my rage even greater. Words matter. I’m so sorry for all who know Mel Roberts Gove.

    Mel Roberts Grove was beloved by many, including by folks on our team. This is a hard loss to stomach. May Mel rest in peace and dignity.

    Republican-controlled Texas House of Representatives passed transphobic House Bill 25 on Thursday, which would require that public school athletic teams must be based on students' genders on their birth certificates at the time of birth.

    When the mainstream media doesn't cover what is happening to trans kids and doesn't counter the weaponized misinformation then it fuels the political realities we are seeing. It makes it possible for lawmakers to feel embolden in their view that no one cares. Please do better.

    Mel Groves, a 25-year-old Black transgender man, was fatally shot in Jackson, Mississippi on October 11, 2021. Groves’ death is at least the 39th known violent death of a TGNC person in 2021 in the United States.

    Many people really believe anti-trans sentiment is a virtue and that they have a god-given right to other/ridicule/hate/destroy trans people. They seem not to care that history will indict them as we now indict enslavers.
