It is hard for me to think, off the top of my head, of a major crypto vulnerability in the last several years that wasn’t covered in Cryptopals challenges — today’s included: it’s in Set 8! Donations to flip the House funded it!

Also, NCC should give us Cryptopals back (we’ll make it all shiny and NCC-y!) so we can get Set 8 hosted properly.

I never quite finished Set 1 (my probability math never worked quite right), but I'm still super glad I worked on it - I figured out a TON I'd never bothered with about Python3 and bytes and strings and encodings. Gonna go back and give it another try someday.
yes, I remember trying it in haskell and spending more time fighting with converting string types than I did on the crypto itself
