Looking at the arrest affidavit from at least one protester who was charged w/Riot Participation- Intimidation over the weekend. His offense? “Yelling profanities and other things in an attempt to cause civil unrest preventing skirmish line officers from dispersing the crowd.”

This gentleman didn’t actually throw anything. Wasn’t seen throwing it attacking any officers. He was charged w/ using his first amendment right of free speech (profanities) when officers attempted to disband what was a peaceful protest until riot officers arrived.

In a crowd of hundreds, these two gentlemen were the ones who were arrested for “yelling profanities and other things” at EPPD officers. I’ve been in contact w/Oscar (1st pic) he claims he was actually helping a woman off the ground when he was tackled by officers.pic.twitter.com/1GncbJGnG4
