    RAIN OUTLOOK: The state is drying back out & we need some rainfall. The next opportunity will come from Tropical Storm Marco which is modeled to move toward OK by mid next week. Heaviest rainfall will be along the coast. New Orleans is expected to be pounded by Marco & Laura!

    Another very warm & humid day tomorrow w/ light winds & highs near 90. A cold front will come in late day that could help develop a few showers & t'storms. This front will bring in drier air that will put humidity levels very comfortable level for this time of the year.

    Still tracking some big storms across far SW & SC Ok along with a band of storms just south of the metro. This band of rain is Not severe just some brief heavy rain & lightning. Storms along the Red River are severe & are capable of 70 mph winds & golf ball size hail.

    6:00 pm Update: Severe t'storm warning for high winds across SW OK due to decaying storms dropping south. Have had reports of 67 mph in Hollis with many others reporting 50 -60 mph. Rain & storms continue to move to the south.

    4:35 PM Update: Continue to track severe storms dropping south through Sulphur & Ardmore. Very heavy rainfall, lightning, & hail up to golf balls. Damaging winds to 60 mph are also possible Additional showers & few storms continue across the metro & out west. nothing strong

    3:40 pm Update: Still tracking a few severe storms south of the metro near Paul Valley. These storm have a history of nickel to golf ball size hail & very heavy rains. Moving to the south at 15 mph. Other showers & storms in the metro & out west are moving SE at 15 mph.

    2:20 pm Update: Showers & t'storms continue across parts of the area along with plenty of cloud cover. A few strong storms have developed just south of the metro along the gust front moving south. Heavy rain, lightning, & winds to 45 mph possible as it drifts SE at 15 mph.

    Woohoo!! Hello, rain cooled air as NE winds continue to push the cooler air to the south. Temperatures are falling here across the metro into the lower 80s. Storm chances will continue to shift slowly south through the afternoon along with the heat. - Justin

    Severe storms continue for southern Garfield and northern Kingfisher county. Quarter size hail and 60 mph gusts are possible. It's slowly inching SE toward Hennessey & Dover. New showers developing just NW of Oklahoma county (circled). 11:56 AM

    Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 11:45 AM for this storm over southern Alfalfa and northeastern Major county. It's a slow mover at only 15 mph to the southeast. Quarter size hail, 60 mph gusts, and PACKED with lightning. 10:57 AM

    Thunderstorms continue across northern OK this morning. A few are quite strong with heavy rainfall, small hail, and a LOT of lightning, especially with the storm over Helena and Ringwood. These are drifting southeast. 10:46 AM
