    Produce a white paper. They’re expensive to do but they give gravitas. They make you a leading industry source. Dynamite strategy for B2B startups. ’s spam call report is a great example. They scored media coverage in too. /6

    Do a survey and turn it into a report. ’s 2019 founder compensation report was a smash hit. They earned coverage in , built an amazing lead magnet and positioned themselves as a collaborative VC interested in the ecosystem. Not shabby. 5/

    Most people know about “owned content.” African startups ace distribution. That’s the easy part. Where they stumble is on quality content. They go into hard-core marketing/sales mode (buy my product!). They struggle to write content that sparks sharing & engagement. 2/
