For work, I'm writing a guide on how to end a professional mentoring relationship once it has ran it's course. It's basically the Workplace Psychologist equivalent to writing a book on break-ups. I suck at break-ups. Send advice.

Maybe facilitate the convo by transitioning the relationship from mentor to sponsor? So you no longer have those mentoring sessions but they still advocate for you in the work place?? I feel like I’ve been watching too many ted talks lol

I LOVE you.
That's pretty spot on to what the research suggests and what I'm writing - just going a bit more in-depth on how to make the transition.
It's like the breakup equivalent of, "Let's just be friends", but then making sure they actually stay friends.
