Are they really "incels" anymore if they've chosen to adopt "incel" as an identity? If they specifically DON'T have any interest in bettering themselves, and becoming sex-having "normies," how the hell is their celibacy still involuntary?

There are MANY factors to how I stopped being an incel, but honestly...not to go all The Secret or anything, but the single biggest factor is that I GENUINELY DIDN'T *WANT* TO BE ONE.

Obviously that's only the first step, but it's a CRUCIAL first step. It sounds ludicrously simple, but it's true. If you don't think you'll ever be anything but an incel, it WILL become a self-fulfilling prophecy. You have to WANT it, and believe you'll eventually get it.

So, to all GENUINE incels out there, who aren't just volcels in the world's worst disguise, I offer the following advice: - TREAT PEOPLE LIKE *PEOPLE,* NOT CONQUESTS - DEVELOP A SKILL SET (this one isn't mandatory, but it definitely helps) - PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE.

omigod THANK YOU. I work in theatre with all kinds of kooky folks of all different shapes, sizes & looks. All of them have gotten laid or have been in relationships. Why? Cuz they aren't asshole & they treat the gender they're attracted to like...yknow...people.

If a man who once did a pitch-perfect portrayal of Comic Book Guy can do it, there's hope for all of us.
