Just spent the better part of my afternoon listening & watching presentations on kegels and pelvic floor shenanigans. I'm fascinated and flummoxed at the same time. If you're a trainer/coach it behooves you to learn more about this stuff.

Is there anything better than learning about something complex while being told a story? is a master at it.

Really liked this article via discussing what in all likelihood will be the approach most gym rats and meatheads will take regarding their training splits now that home gyms are more of thing -

I was reminded that 13 years ago today , , and myself opened in little ol' Hudson, MA. I wanted Minas Tirith, but I was out-voted 2-1. Seemed to work out just fine...😅

What get results: Consistently being consistent. What Doesn't Get Results: Following an 8 to 12 to whatever week program and then when finished being like "huh, guess I'm done" and then wondering, weeks later, why you're not getting results or they never seem to stick.

Whether you're an athlete preparing for a competitive season or someone attempting to train through an injury, the concept of the TRAINABLE MENU - focusing on what one CAN do rather than what they can't - is an important one -

With many beginning to head back to their respective gyms (and "normal" workouts) it's important you understand you're not the same lifter you were four months ago. Thanks for including me in this piece -

Pondering doing another "30 Days" series on IG. Already did Deadlifts and Shoulders. I'm thinking one titled "30 Days of Spine Hygiene" would be applicable to most. Rehabby/prehabby stuff, but more on performance based stuff, like how to clean up your squats, etc. Down?

Or maybe it's just showing up and figuring out what fills your training love tank that day. Or, I don't know, maybe it's Goblet Squats paired with a shadow puppet dance off. The point is: You show up. You sexy beast.

I often champion the hashtag . It's a splendid re-frame to focus on what you CAN do rather than what you can't when training through an injury. But it applies in other ways too. When motivation wanes your menu may simply be showing up & doing bicep curls.
