To clarify my comment about hostility: Apple isn't a person. They're a multinational corporation, not your friend.

@tonyarnold developers need to realise that Apple serves them only until that goals conflict with serving the customer base as a whole. -
@sophistifunk like all companies everywhere, right? They're in it for money, hopefully tempered by values. -
@tonyarnold everybody's in it for money up to a point, so it's not worth mentioning. They're in it for the end product.
