Great Mr. Dunn! If you make it closer it would be more understandable. From Sun till Jupiter. We will see both enter points better. I think in this case we don’t need to see zone from Jupiter to Pluto.

The sun is not moving at the average velocity of the material in our local neighborhood. Nothing really is, everything is a little bit off from the average in one direction or another. So most things that enter the system will come from the direction we're going towards.
