I once used the iChing to decide whether or not to continue a relationship.

My father, a preacher, used to tell an anecdote about bibliomancy (probably apocryphal) A man is in distress and he says "Oh Lord, tell me what to do!" He opens his bible to a random page, and he finds "Judas hanged himself". In disbelief he tries again "Now go and do likewise"

My RE teacher at school told a story of two girls she knew at school who used a Ouija board and ended up hanging themselves in a closet. I find that believable. As for the iChing, it is from an ancient Chinese tradition—a little different to the occult directly, I think.

The occult element, particularly evident in Nick Land, is one aspect I find suspicious with regards to the outer right—and the tradition of the far right being intertwined with the occult is longstanding.

Despite my aesthetics I'm not an occultist in any sense, I'm a materialist with the caveat that no one knows anything about ontology at all. I think if you spend a lot of energy believing in occult texts you can take yourself to some very bad places, though.
