I don’t care. I’m an egomaniac and a romantic who gets off on the idea he can help other people when he probably can’t. However, I do know that being honest can change things in interesting ways. I wouldn’t worry about consistency with ends or whatever, so Scandinavian/Germanic!

I live a goalless life. I say what I think and feel. If I want someone, then never mind what I think is abstractly good for them—I tell them I want them even though I think it would be bad for them, and that I didn’t care! I’m selfish, but at least they know it!

Maybe so. I have a modest notch count (5 1/2) and my relationships tend towards the long-term. I just value honesty, complete honesty, and the change it can bring. And I do know what it’s like to suffer in the way you describe.

Yes, of course, no obligation. If I were in your position I’d get some food and sleep. It’s very unfair, unfortunately. I still believe in honesty, though.
