On a geopolitical level, liberal regimes tend to ally with Sunni theocratic militants over secular Sunni nationalists or non-threatening Shiites
-
1. Some of this is connected to long-term relations between the House of Saud and Western power. There’s a separation between expedient power plays & ideology, though. Further, in the case of Britain, our arms industry is tied to the Saudis.
-
2. I suspect many UK politicians and civil servants are bought off by the arms industry-Saudi complex. This gives Saudi ideologists freer reign in Britain to propagandise (build mosques, train preachers etc).
-
3. It’s important to note that the liberal-technocratic state is anarchic, different departments—often following perverse incentives—works against each other. Ideological madness is layered on top of this. A lot of things that happen make no rational sense.

Are they really afraid of Islamist? I thought they assumed they would be assimilated into the undifferentiated mass of humanity of the liberal state.
-
1. Terrified. That’s why the propaganda is non-stop. I’ve been keeping a lazy eye on the number of busted terror plots over the past year, and I eventually lost count. Islamism—along with fascism/neo-Nazism—is the one indigestible element under liberal-technocracy.
-
2. Islamism is basically anti-liberalism as a religion. The liberal-technocrats are trying other tricks, too. They’ve allowed shari’a law to be used in making determination in divorce cases. The purpose is not, as idiot nationalists think, to “Islamise” the UK...
-
3. ...but rather to break the Muslim family, which—being somewhat stronger than the broken indigenous family—forms a point of resistance to the state. By citing sharia in a divorce case they hope to expedite atomisation & family break up among Muslims, so weakening trad religion.
