Politicians will, of course, become more circumspect about what they say (they’re already pretty careful) while social media becomes ever more wild. The result will be, when someone slips up, there’ll be an explosion.

The fact is that in contemporary Britain people don’t say what they think or feel...even in the pub (even in their home). They’re always checking...who’s listening? It just adds to the misery really.
