1. The fact that a huge amount of time is spent discussing the political ramifications of the sexuality, ethnicity, and so on of actors in what are, effectively, children’s entertainments is a damning indictment of our situation.

5. I can’t claim any superiority here, since I used to go along with it as and acceptable middle ground, but I gave up years ago. The point is that alterations to mass entertainment can make people very angry; it’s the closest thing they have to community.

7. The left doesn’t understand that violent action films were used to sublimate certain forms of ethnic self-expression in defence of liberal democracy (i.e. you can be a fascist sadist like James Bond in defence of libe democracy). What happens when you remove the sublimation?
