A difference between accepting and enabling needs to be made to properly "live" the philosophy. Acceptance doesn't need to mean Quietism.
It’s quietism for Epictetus, I think. It’s not meant to be fatalistic, but it ends up being fatalistic in effect. It is very useful in situations where you’re abolsutely constrained, such as a prisoner of war camp or as a slave.
