4 weeks into my meat-only ketogenic diet inspired by Jordan Peterson’s daughter, I decide to eat quite a few cherries and a little bit of coconut. The result is somewhat akin to food poisoning, about 5 hours of stomach cramps and pain. So is this it, carbs really are poison?

the real tragic of "let them eat cake" wasn't just bourgeoise naivité, it was the perfect storm of innocence and malice, ordering the starved masses poisoned

The brioche was a wicked invention. I’ve been surprised how much this diet has impacted my mood, energy levels, & sleep patterns. Sure, I knew chocolate & crisps were bad—I never suspected most fruit, bread, pasta etc were basically doping me and making me feel awful.

I'm a firm believer in fruit myself, I think bread is the major issue. Don't neccesarily think cutting it entirely is neccesary, but the western diet has definately been overfed on bread, pasta, the like. like most things I blame the industrial revolution

But then again, I just came home from eating out and had bread with the meal for the first time in months and now my tonsils are swelling up in allergic-like reaction so who am I to talk

I’m no diet expert, & it’s boring to talk about really. However, I’ve been very surprised at the changes over this last month. I’ll write a full report when the experiment concludes next week. It has seriously made me re-think a lot of my assumptions about food.
