The slippery slope here is that as the MSM periodically sensationalizes trans-kids (i,e, prepubescent children who enjoy gendered cosplaying), they may soon start to give voice to children who consent to sex with adults.

But is it planned? There were confidential networks that changed how we view homosexuality. There are probably political equivalents for paedophiles that are totally clandestine. Intellectuals on the left were supportive in the 1970s, e.g. Allen Ginsberg

I can't speak to how planned or deliberate it is, and I am aware of various organizations worldwide who advocated for its normalization. All I can say is that I hope I speak for the majority of people in saying that sex is meant for adults, at the very least post-pubescent ppl

      1. It is planned. As stated in my original tweet, it’s a lot more common than people think. Paedophiles, like any other group, organise to advance their interests. Look at the RC Church, social services etc & the networks in those groups. These people are often v.intelligent.

      2. What you say is true. Most people are disgusted by it, but they would have said the same about homosexuality up to about 1968. First it was treated as an illness to be pitied, then it was removed from the psych books, and now it’s celebrated.

      3. People have seen what happened with homosexuality and they think, “Why not us?”. Plus, the sexual revolution was a lot more wild than people think if you read about the 1960s/1970s—it’s just we can’t imagine how wild our parents were.

Very intelligent people are often pathologically ideological. Many otherwise smart people I know are your typical SocJus types when you get them started on certain political subject matter

I understand the argument that homosexuality used to be seen with revolt but the fact remains that there are clear bio-psychological changes that occur during puberty that are near-impossible to ignore.

Ephebophilia can at least be biologically warranted, if not socio-psychologically

The problem with his line is that people will deploy exactly the same argument they did with homosexuality. How are you making a normative claim from a biological fact? Is anal sex “biologically warranted”? You need natural law to make this move, in which most do not believe.

Puberty, the onset of erections and ovulation, is as natural a biological law as it gets, barring birth and death. I stand by this.

It’s a biological law. But the problem, as Hume stated, is that no “is” implies an ought. What’s the anus “for”? Humans can choose to use objects in different ways. Biology doesn’t tell us what’s right in this regard, just what is.

There are various evo-psych and evo-bio theories for anal sex. I'm no expert but prostate stimulation seems to suggest that men are designed for penetration, very possibly vindicating homosexual partnerships/sexuality. As for women & anal sex? Not entirely sure, tbh

These are facts about the world that don’t tell us if the actions are wrong or right (if there even are such things). What I’m going to say is condescending & arrogant, but you need to look at a primer on the philosophy of science and/or ethics to understand the issue.

You’re intelligent and probably well educated, but not everyone can know everything—although I like to think I do. On this issue, it’s beyond me to explain the fact/value divide in tweets. Ultimately, it’s a question of whether there’s a telos or not.
