1. Notes on the digital panopticon: I decided to set up a Facebook account after years off the platform as somewhere else to post my work in case Medium censors me again. The friend recommendations for me were all hard right figures, Richard Spencer, EDL etc.

2. I’ve been writing about and reasrching the hard right for about 1 1/2 years. So Facebook must have access to: a. Google search info (pre-DuckDuckGO), b. Email data, or c. Twitter data (probably retweeted people connected to the hard right).

3. I haven’t email much about this project, so it’s probably not that. Anyway, let’s just say Facebook knew a lot about me for a man who hadn’t had an account with them for 4 or so years.
