During a walk round the fields I thought of something to tweet. You might say, “Not being ‘in the moment’ in the beautiful fields. Tsk.” I might have thought that a few years ago. But, eventually, you realise you can’t not be ‘in the moment’, even thinking is ‘in the moment’.

"Being in the moment" just means not having prolonged meta-thoughts like these.

It's true the idea of meta-thought, as a different form of consciousness, is in itself nonsensical. But "being in the moment" just means thinking about and paying attention to your surroundings.
