So eventually you realise all this mindfulness bullshit and straining to pay attention is nothing. When you’re not paying attention to your surroundings, you’re paying attention to something else. And that attention is the same attention as you give to your surroundings.

You can change focus, but you can’t not be “in the moment” whatever you do—even if that’s worrying. So stop worrying about “being in the moment”. You’re already there and you always will be.
