It’s been a while since I watched football, and one change I noticed in last night’s World Cup #EnglandvColombia game was that probably a quarter of the adverts round the pitch were in Chinese. Changing times, changing times. The dragon rises.

I also don’t watch TV. I was surprised with the adverts, which just seemed perverse and cruel. Were adverts always this cruel and sadistic? There seems to be something very disturbing in the minds of advertisers. A bizarre need to humiliate people & twist things round.
