I’m not sure that the term “genocide” is conceptually useful. It only describes the tendency in human affairs when mass violence takes place...what did we do to the Neanderthals anyway...? The existence of genocide as a concept & crime has done nothing to arrest mass murder.

Further, I don’t see how you can consistently oppose genocide and advocate for the existence of nuclear weapons. All contemporary major powers are founded on the idea that deterrence rests on the threat of genocide (nuclear war being genocidal in nature).
