1/ In favour of J. Peterson: His strength lies in Jung and Solzhenitsyn. These are the elements that really scare the left, because they are anti-liberal thinkers. His classical liberalism is the least concerning thing about him, if the left thought about it.

2/ He has integrity, humility and courage. He is also, unlike most “intellectuals”, in this era actually intelligent, competent, and honest with his material. He does actual practice what he preaches. He’s dynamic, and I think reacts to criticism & revises his position.

3/ He would benefit from leaning more on Jung and Solzhenitsyn and less on classical liberalism, because these are defensible positions against the left. Classical liberalism is not. But he is Anglo, and so liberalism is in his bones (it’s my bones, too). He may not do.
