The idea that “SJWs infiltrated pop culture and now it’s bad” is nonsense, as anyone who ever watched Quincy, ME knows (1973-1983). Whole episodes were devoted to fashionable liberal talking points in that show (v boring ones). But the propaganda was always there.
Quincy, ME was fun, though. He was avuncular, a drinker, and spent an inordinate amount of time on his yacht with pretty girls. What’s changed is that social media & the Internet lets people disucss inter-generational changes in liberal propaganda.

People now notice and disucss changes in ideological cleavages in liberal pop culture propaganda, which probably correspond to different generations of university students working their through the bureaucracy.

If anybody noticed in the past, the most they could do was write a letter. Now thousands of people are alerted & moan about change. This has resulted in an intensification in pop cult politics (partly bc slow family formation= plenty of Puer aeternus to moan about video games).
