And there are trivial differences. But, by and large, it’s related to inequality—otherwise, why would the left be so disturbed by difference? Further, Peterson asserts that the left innovates or invents and the right codifies and manages. Not sure this is true either.

That’s a sort of superficial identification of the left with, say, experimental art. But it’s far from clear that the avant garde in art are on the left, or that useful technological inventions come from the left. Peterson shows his more “Boomer” mindset here.

He associates the 1960s with experimentation and development. He doesn’t consider the more Hitchens-sequel point that the 1960s were self-indulgent experiment and deviation. I suppose he confuses deviation, experimentation, & novelty.
