How to classify the contemporary hard right? It’s postfascism or postNazism. It’s beyond neo-Nazism & neo-fascism, which were still closely tied to regime memory. Similarly, the hard left is postcommunist. Zizek & Badiou are to the left what Moldbug & Land are to the right.

Addendum: About 2 years ago I spontaneously started researching fascism. I looked into Mishima, Malaparte (La Pelle), FN, Hitler. I think I sensed some deeper movement in the world, a movement back towards the right that was subterranean. Again, not fascism but the hard right.

It can be very tiresome to identify every other figure as “proto-fascist” or whatever, but the comedian Russell Brand is actually quite fascistic: he is charismatic, an orator, believes in spirituality, & is anti-capitalist.

Brand interviews Jordan Peterson. Brand hates the corporations. Peterson hates “postmodern” domination in the unis. What neither man manages is to do is connect the dots: the “postmodern” unis produce the ideology that coordinates the corporate-state system.
